Phanes - Stefano Gervasonii. Adagio
ii. Con brio e precisione
«Phanes» is the Greek divinity of the origin of life, she's described with golden wings. It is also a race of butterfly. This composition, initially for flute, appeals to the mystery of the life of the butterflies, in the fragility of the impalpable noise of their beating of wings to rise in the air. Five Bumbling Preludes - Alexandros Markeasi. Travelling
ii. Streets
iii. Waves
iv. Stop and Go
v. Goodbye
Five Bumbling Preludes appears as a strange duet between a saxophonist and its double inside a video: alternation of two musics for two different situations: the slow / harmonious first one, based on the movement and the second one constructed on the speed, the movement and breaks. A whole series of processes which deform the progress of a work are recognizable and referenced. They propose a strange temporality, constantly mobile and jerky. |
