Amigo Saxophone Quartet is a modular saxophone chamber group based primarily in Southeast Asia. Meeting each other at the Mahidol College of Music, most members of the group were educated in Asia before embarking on further studies. Beside performing at the 15th World Saxophone Congress and in various parts of Thailand and Singapore, the group has also performed at the Annexe Gallery in Kuala Lumpur, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Young Musician Society (Singapore) and has performed and taught at Kasertart University, Taksin University, Songkhla Rajabhat University, and invited as a featured guest artist for the First Singapore Saxophone Symposium.
Members of the group for the 2012 World Saxophone Congress include Joshua Hyde (Australia), Pieter Pellens (Belgium), Asagi Ito (Japan), Leslie Wong (Singapore), Wu Pikong (Taiwan) and Wong Tak Chiu (Hong Kong). |
