Suite for Soprano Saxophone and Organ - Wallace McClain Cheatham

i. Proclamation
ii. Lamentation
iii. Jubilation

"Composed in 2010, SUITE FOR SOPRANO SAXOPHONE AND ORGAN is both absolute and programmatic. Absolute because it musically stands on its own, and programmatic because each movement is thematically inspired by folk poetry of Black America. Movement 1, "Proclamation," "Send One Angel Down" movement 2,"Lamentation," "Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child" and movement 3, "Jubilation," "Ride On King Jesus.""

Violin Concerto in Eflat - La Tempesta di Mare Op. 8 No. 5 - Antonio Vivaldi arr. Parry-Ridout

i. Presto
ii. Largo
iii. Presto

The opening of this virtuosic piece is characterised by its fast repeated semi-quaver pattern and gradually builds in harmonic complexity. The second movement is centered around scalic passage work whilst the final movement returns to the vigour of the first. This arrangement makes full use of the versatility of the soprano saxophone as a solo instrument.
