Ellipsos Quartet is constantly exploring their instruments' technical and expressive possibilities and seeking out new musical challenges. The Quartet performs original classical works and transcriptions, as well as works from surprisingly different musical styles.

Ellipsos Quartet has performed at various French music festivals and has given concerts in venues such as the Salle Pleyel or Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, as well as abroad (Essaouira, Bilbao, Helsinki, Ljubljana, New York). The quartet is regularly heard on French National Radio programmes.

Besides concerts, Ellipsos Quartet is regularly invited to give masterclasses all around Europe (Helsinki, Nantes, etc) and organizes its own summer academy, Academie Junior de Musiques Ellipsos. The concert festival organized together with the Academy has received such top-class guest artists as Jean-Charles Richard, Manu DiBango, Jean-François Zygel, Didier Lockwood.

The Quartet has itself received tuition from Thierry Escaich, Claude Delangle, Paul Meyer and Eric Le Sage at the Paris Conservatory. It still collaborates with the European Centre for Chamber Music ProQuartet.

The Ellipsos Quartet is able to come to the World Saxophone Congress with the exceptional support of KPMG France.

Le Tombeau de Couperin arr. N Herrouët - Maurice Ravel

i. Prelude,
ii. Forlane,
iii. Rigaudon,
iv. Menuet,
v. Toccata

In 1917, Ravel finished his composition, Tombeau de Couperin, in memory of the baroque composer. The original piano version consists of six movements that make the work similar to a dances suite. In 1919, Ravel himself orchestrated four of those pieces. Today Nicolas Herrouët presents an arrangement of five movements, including the formidable Toccata.
