Como el levísimo rudo del caer de una estrella - Camilo A. Mendez S.

como el levisimo ruido del caer de una estrella was inspired by and based on a line of the poem Cancion de la Noche Callada by Aurelio Arturo. The piece is written in one movement and uses very little material. My intention was to develop textures derived from a small group of multiphonics and explore the different relationships that can be set between them and other sounds. The material was graded according its dynamic range - loud sounds were eliminated, giving importance to delicate and fragile sounds. The music attempts to set different transitions between the materials comprising the limited palette of sounds.

In the land of butterflies - Ewan Campbell
