After winning first place in the 2009 Crane Chamber Music Competition, the Guzman-Natalie Duo has been performing frequently and growing a reputation throughout New York State. The ensemble creates a cutting-edge sound that fits appropriately into the new world of contemporary music. The duo is strongly dedicated to performing and studying chamber music with unique instrumentations. Jennifer and Nicholas are true advocates of exploring the colors that can be produced with the clarinet and saxophone. The group often collaborates and performs recitals with other musicians to display new and interesting works. Their varied repertoire ranges from baroque and classical transcriptions to 20th and 21st century pieces written to showcase effective qualities of the two woodwinds.

Jennifer and Nicholas both received Bachelor Degrees in Music Education at the Crane School of Music in New York. Currently, Jennifer is pursuing a Master's Degree in clarinet performance at the University of North Texas. She has studied with Raphael Sanders and Kimberly Cole. Nicholas is pursuing a Master's Degree in saxophone performance at Duquesne University. He has studied with Christopher Creviston and James Houlik.
