After intense concert activity in different formations including the National Academy of Santa Cecila Orchestra, the Massimo Bellini Theatre Orchestra of Catania, the New Scarlatti Orchestra in Naples, the San Carlo Theatre Orchestra of Naples, the Francesco Cilea Theatre Orchestra of Reggio Calabria and various other chamber ensembles from duo to octet, common ideas, passions and musical tastes have pushed the four young musicians to collaborate permanently, creating the HOT SAXOPHONE QUARTET, an ensemble alive and growing, which use the many past and present experiences of the individual performers. The group plays an intense concert activity in Italy and Europe, giving concerts with international soloists like Jean Yves Fourmeau and Victor Morosco. Already they have performed numerous concerts for important associations in Italy and abroad. The quartet is currently preparing a CD with music by Bach, Rivier, Piernè, Escaisch, Iturralde, Desenclos, Bozza, Hamel and Petit.

This arrangement is an ideal addition to the modern saxophone quartet repertoire. The brief character pieces are still effective and full of vigour over 50 years after their composition. The highly extensive range of registers and dynamics represent a great challenge for the performers.
