Monologo en Tiempo do Joropo - Carolos Gonzalo Guzman-Munozi. La Vaqueria
ii. Registro
iii. Pajarillo
Monologo en Tiempo de Joropo is a work that reflects part of the tradition of Colombo-Venezuelan monadic songs. It is divided into three stages: the first, La Vaquería, makes a remembrance to the dawn of the eastern plains, the farmer's work and especially to man's relationship with the level ground. The second movement, Registero, is a small overture that sets the strength, confidence and the challenges of burrowing into the vastness of the level ground. The third and final movement, Pajarillo, is composed in a cycle of variations. The instrument is integrated with the foot, marking the man's relationship with the level ground. Baayami - From the Sky - Mark OliveiroThe ancients of prehistoric Australia were a mystic people, a nomadic culture rich in animistic reverence. In order to trace the footsteps of their forbears, the original inhabitants of Sydney, Australia, walked the lines of stars and song as a homage to the elders with the promise of survival. Engravings of astrological maps, shamanistic symbology and petroglyphic markings are the final remnants of this aged guild of celestial worship. Baayami is a contemporary adaptation of a musical reading of the Sydney Rock Engravings, with respect to the real and the imaginary, this is a work of fictional historical recreation. |
