John Seaton attends Wright State University in Dayton, OH and is a junior music education major. John currently studies saxophone with Dr Shelley M Jagow, and has attended lectures and performed in master classes with Jean-Marie Londeix, William Street, Samuel Adler, Debra Richtmeyer, the Amstel Saxophone Quartet (Netherlands), Conundrum, John Fonville (University of California, San Diego), as well as some additional studies with Timothy McAllister. He has had the honor of winning both the Wright State University ('09 and '11) and Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra concerto competitions, and winning the Ohio MTNA Young Artist Woodwind Competition. John Seaton recently presented the world premiere of a Marco Ciccone work for soprano saxophone, as well as a Michael Issacson work for alto saxophone, bassoon, and percussion. Additionally, he has collaborated with the composer HyeKyung Lee in the performance and interpretation of her music for saxophone. John performs with the internationally acclaimed Wright State University "Avion" Saxophone Quartet and Wind Symphony, from which he received the Clark J Haines "Most Outstanding Musician" award by a vote of his peers. John has also performed at the NASA Region V conference, the OMEA State Conference, and with the Kappa Kappa Psi National Intercollegiate Band.

Myrrh - Timothy Harenda

The Chinese, masters of herbal medicine, once discovered that the incense from a particular resin, Myrrh, had a strange ability to "move blood," proving to be a powerful tool in healing circulatory-related diseases. Myrrh for saxophone and electroacoustics is a sonic depiction of this powerful medicinal incense.

Song of the Colours - HyeKyung Lee

Song of the Colours has three different sections. Each section has its own distinctive color. The first section ("Rose") is dreamy, illusionary, the second ("Pale Yellow") nonchalant, distant, and the third (Dark Red") realistic, passionate.
