Concertino for Alto Saxophone - Radamés Gnattali

i. Allegro Spirituoso
ii. Saudoso
iii. Movido

Set in three movements the Concertino, blends the infectious rhythms of Brazil with lush orchestration and makes excellent use of the lyrical qualities of the saxophone. It is a charming work that was composed in 1964 for Sandoval Dias but was not premiered until 1987 when the piece was rediscovered.
