Several World - Rachel StottSeveral World was written in 2010 for saxophonist Sarah Markham's 40th birthday celebration, an inspiring occasion devoted to the performance of music for saxophones. To accommodate the large numbers of players at the event, I scored the piece as a concerto grosso" for saxophones, with 9 'concertino' soloists and 6 groups of 'ripieno players." © Rachel Stott |
