Lament and Credo - Mark Alan Taggart
Written in 1983 as a response to the death of friend and saxophonist Kenneth Deans, this work explores the myriad emotions one experiences following the death of a loved one -schock, profound sorrow, rage, and ultimately acceptance.
Serenade, op. 22 - v. Finale - Antonín Dvořák (arr. Olaf Mühlenhardt)
Dvorak was happily married and enjoying fatherhood as well as fame and a steady income from commissions when he composed the Serenade, op. 22. It is a charming work with tender melodies and elegant dances throughout. The Finale is a rustic and energetic Bohemian dance with a rousing finish. |
